PSI (Pounds Per Square Inch) is the amount of cleaning pressure a unit can produce.
GPM (Gallons Per Minute) refers to the amount of water coming from the machine.
The combination of PSI and GPM is what gets your job complete. This combination of PSI/GPM is referred to as cleaning power. When comparing two units, multiply the PSI by the GPM to get cleaning power. The highest cleaning power may be the best washer for you depending on your application.
